BANANA CLOVE HAM
4 lg. bananas, green tipped
4 lg. slices ham 2" thick
3 Tbls. brown sugar
3/4 cup milk
ground ginger
whole cloves
lemon juice
Preheat oven to 325°F.
Rub the slices of ham with a little ground ginger then stud edges of the ham with whole cloves.
Sear the ham in a hot skillet, then remove to a baking dish. Sprinkle brown sugar on ham slices.
Peel bananas and cut tips off each end. Cut in halves lengthwise; sprinkle with lemon juice (or roll in lemon juice). Place banana lengths on top of ham slice.
Pour the milk over all and bake approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes or until ham is tender and bananas are soft.
Serve hot.
